Symptoms of plugged air filter?

MPG question...

have had my new Big Horn 3500, auto, quad, cab, short bed, since october. bought it from Dave Smith in Kellogg, Idaho. right now have about 3500 miles on it and would like to start putting a list together of must have upgrades that can be done without tweaking the warranty. if there is some sort of sane list to use as a guide i would like to know where to get a copy. obviously i could sell my first born child and go nuts, but i'm going to have to do er a little at a time to in order to remain married and also still pursue some of my other interests as well (like hunting and fishing). am curious to know what the general consensus is for what to tackle first. i already did the turbo bed liner, husky floor mats, dash mat, nerf bar, and (now extra) fender well protectors. will get some decent seat covers soon also to save the easily stainable upholstery. beyond that, i need the straight skinny on what should come next. is it possible to add engine upgrades and if so which ones? what is allowable in the suspension department? is there a engine brake for the auto transmissions available for o6 yet? i already figured to ride the factory tires till they wear out and then do the tire and rim upgrade, but figured some suspension goodies would be in order at that time. if i do lift it, i don't think i want to lift it anymore than 2 maybe four inches max. but prior to that i think i should consider some horsepower increases to offset the loss of power from larger tires and beefier suspension. it's starting to get really complicated and i just don't want to throw my money at something for nothing or at least in the wrong order. see my problem? HELP!
