06 build dates

Anyone know when the 06 trucks are scheduled to start production? My 05 is being bought back and I have ordered an 06 as it's replacement. I had thought that the 06 models were scheduled to start early this month but the dealer still doesn't have a vin # yet.

According to the dealer my 06 (along with two others that he ordered) is built (7/7/05) and setting on a lot in Mexico waiting for a release date. They want to release the first load of 06s at the same time.

My ordered 06 went D1 (into production) about July 13 or so, and is expected to ship from the factory July 28. From there, the estimated delivery time is 18 days. I ordered the truck July 11. I think there may have been some influencing factors in getting it so quickly. Oo.

Was just looking around the dealership today and stumbled accross a lone 2006 Ram among the sea of 2005's, didn't expect that at all.

So I guess some have started to arive already.
