06 day time running light's

Hey guy's is there a way to get the day time running lights turned on ?dealer said they can only do it in Canada Is the Dealer full of it or just Lazy ?#@$%!

Most dealers can do it for you. Some charge a half hour of shop time. I had mine done for free at the dealer where I bought my truck. It's a good safety feature imo. It only takes about 5 minutes.

Just leave the lightswitch always on.



I don't do it, but it would work. My wife does that in her van.

The dealer will enable them no problem. Only thing is they don't come on with the key like G. M. and Ford. Will only come on while in any gear. Shuts off in park or when the emergency brake is set.

Dealer was trying to claim that the 06 trucks don't have that feature in the states only in Canada . He's claiming only the 07 and up trucks have it ?

The '06's have it. A friend of mine had it enabled on his '06 2500.
