06 2500 cummins with 285,000 miles has been pulling out hard for a little while. Almost like brake is hung up. This morning pulled out hard then wouldn't shift into 3rd. Finally shifted into 3rd but when I stopped at a red light and tried to pull out again I had nothing. No forward. No
reverse. Left sit for a few minutes and got it to crawl forward for a few feet then died again. No strange noises and no oil leaking. could it be the pump or the torque converter? I rebuilt the transmission about a year ago. Could overfilling the fluid cause this? I usually do everything myself but took it to the shop a few weeks ago and they filled the trans about 2" higher on the dipstick than full. Any thoughts would help. I'm stuck here!

Over filling will cause it to leak not quit working. Have to test pressures to see but off hand you probably lost a clutch pack which is dropping all the apply pressures.
