I just traded:02 3500 QC 6 speed SLT 4x4 for an 06 3500 QC 6 speed SLT 4x4,just wanting to know of anything I should do different as far as maintenance and what to expect from the HPCR. I had to put a VP44 on the 02 at 45000 and a fuel sending unit for the guage other than that just maintenance. I don't know much about the new engines,but I do enjoy the comfort and quietness of it. Just wondering what's wrong and right with the HPCR?

The big thing I think kinda sucks about the '06 is the fact it doesn't have the nv5600 anymore, that was the best trans ever put into a pickup truck, best motor, best trans, dana axles, ask yourself why people keep trying to convince themselves ford makes the best truck, with the engine factored out.



The big thing that buggs me about the new 6 speed, is the terrible overdrive gear choice, its like having 4:10 gears essentially. I am going to be buying a new truck this summer, and sadly I think its going to be an auto, I don't want the hassle of running 35" tires
