Just a few questions about the 06 models:

1. Will 06 engine specs and emissions equipment be the same as 05?

2. When will 06 factory order guides be available on line?

3. When will dealers begin accepting 06 orders?

Thanks for your help.

Greg I don't know when the online guides will be available but DC recently began taking orders for '06s since '05 ended April 12th.

I'd like to know what the gearing options are and if they changed the GVRW on SRW 3500s. I heard June 6th is the date when the order information will be available for dealers...

From what I understand, everything will remain the same, no EGR & exhaust brakes are supposed to be approved with the '06 48RE. However - the 7/70 warranty reverts back to a 3/36, the Cummins still has a 100K.

2. When will 06 factory order guides be available on line?

Good luck on this one, my '05 was delivered to me before DC updated their website on the new model year.

3. When will dealers begin accepting 06 orders?

I would assume you can order now, certainly by late July early August. Are you sure you want an '06? Kind of an ugly front end (at least in the pictures), looks kind of Dakota-ish. Find an '05 equipped like you want it, get the good rebate and get the 7/70.

'07 is when tougher emission standards have to be met, that is when we will see changes, I'm sure this will be discussed in much greater detail as this date approaches, I for one am very glad not to have EGR, read some of the other diesel boards about brands f&c and the problems with clogged EGR valves, not good

That is all correct info

i have been ordering 06 HD rams since may 5th or so

Pricing is still not up... And alot of stuff is the same, sunroof, stereos, etc

BUT we do get a DVD system, and a power sliding rear window too.

Let me know if I can help ya

Tomeygun,

The day I talked with you your computers were down. Can you now get in and verify only 3. 73 gear option for G56 (would be nice for 3. 54) and that GRVW is still 9900 for SRW 3500?

Thanks!

Yes to the 3. 73 gear only for the G56 - As for the GVWR, that will only be for sure when the trucks get here...

Get an 05 before the new 06 comes out. Unless your into the durtrango front end of the 06, but I beg, please get an 06... Do not wait till 07, that is that will be emissions nightmare... If you think this poor fuel economy from the triple injection is bad, JUST WAIT. !!. !

will the 06's have a front axle disconnect? so the front shaft doesn't spin when 4 wheel dr isn't engaged?

IMHO... I am sure that there are no significant drivetrain changes such as what you are describing.

As Tommeygun said, we have been inputing orders since May. We should receive our first '06's in mid to late July. I have 240 3/4's and 200 1 tons already preferenced for build. Let me know what you need. As to an order guide, it might take my tecno-geek a little time but I could probably e-mail it to you.
