'06 silencer ring

Ok, so I took the silencer ring out of my "04 6-speed. Am I right in assuming that I can take it out of the '06, cause I love the sound!! Oo.

Yep, took my dads out of his 06 the other day. Same as your 04. You will notice the air tube has an additional set of baffles in the elbow at the turbo that your 04 didn't have. It didn't seem to make much more noise than before, though, with the stock air filter and tube. My 04 woke up when I added the Torque-Tube and AFE filter.

Jengle, do you mean that after taking out the ring in the 06, it didnt make much difference?

I took out the ring and the AFE Intake Tube got rid of the baffle.



Now I got a nice little turbo whistle.
