ive been anticipating it for awhile. i really dont want marco to change anything with it. people are now complaining about the torque management, but when i drove an 03, i loved it, mind you it was a 6 speed. the only thing i would like is fuel to 3800. that would be nice

Day more or day less, the 03 to 06 Smarty's will be ready mid October.

I really don't plan to change anything in the torque management!

What I'm doing is different! I've given the customer the freedom of choice.

Different TQM levels for different needs... .

The customers will ( are now ) able to download the level of choice and update Smarty with it.

Marty they are software # specific,so I doubt it.

What are the differrences between the pre-06 Rams in order for us to need a "stand alone" Smarty only for the 06's?

The pre-06 Rams used a different communications bus to talk between the ECM and components (a hybrid CAN [controller area network] bus)...



The 06 Ram began using a standard CAN bus.



Therefore, the communication protocols are different from 04. 5-05. 5 and the 06s.



If I understand it correctly, Marco is making a SMARTY that will do 04. 5 - 06 inclusively. It is just that the original ones did not do that, as the switch to CAN bus came after the initial R&D for the CR SMARTYs. I think a lot of people would have been disappointed if the original CR SMARTY was held back until the 06 stuff had been integrated.

Just curious. Is the Smarty essentially your only engine mod? I see lots of posts about problems that seem to me to be the result of stacking 2 or 3 or maybe even more electronic devices, each adding their own programming and then ending up with timing so far advanced the engine doesn't have a chance. I'd like to hear from someone with an otherwise essentially stock set-up about how they like their Smarty.

Ditto. I don't plan on stacking anything. One box or programmer and that's it, I swear honey.

My buddys 03 so smarty only 3500 4x4 on 35" tires Ran a very low15 sec run at Califonia speedway last sunday. It was a . 75 sec quicker than a competitors 100hp box run previously. It also beat out a 325hp similiar truck running a Juice w/attitude

If you get Smarty, better either plan on staying with the 30 HP setup or plan on getting a better clutch...
