06 thermostat

my truck with 73K was running about 10-15* hotter. I read of a defect of them not working properly. So i tested the old and new, and i be danrned!! it open only a quarter way> So put new 180* in and its been perfect ever since.

i thought the t-stat was 190* stock?

yea. but i put a new 180* in. i am liking it running cooler. remember texas is hot, plus i haul pretty often.
