Attention: TDR Forum Junkies It looks like I am heading back to the dealer with the 06. Yesterday morning it started the rough idle cold "thing" again.
I have had the transmission checked twice already at the dealer. Maybe my expectations of Tow Haul are to high. The manual says the transmission should down shift while in tow haul with steady braking. My truck has down shifted 4-3 maybe three times at 55 mph under braking in 31K. Otherwise it down shifts at 45 with or without braking. The transmission will also allow the engine to lug down to 1100 rpm under moderate load.
The dealer tech says all this is normal. I say if this is normal tow haul is worthless as down shifting is more important to me than holding up shift longer.
Can anyone give me their maximum down shift speeds in T/H on an 06?
