I have tyranny fluid leaking from behind the cooler mounted on the driver side if the engine block. It's not leaking from any of the lines running in/out of the cooler. Question is, is there a fitting of some sort behind the cooler where this leak could be coming from? Or could the cooler have cracked? I replaced two of the lines on the cooler a few years ago and I did use a backup wrench on the cooler fittings as to not damage the cooler. I also do not have fluids mixing, just leaking from near the back of the cooler. Any ideas?

Thanks. I found one like that earlier, but the cooler I'm talking about would be part number 7, not shown here. A new cooler lists for $700, holy s:*t!!

If it is actually leaking trans fluid then you need a new cooler. Make sure it is not anti-freeze. If it is not mixing ATF and coolant you are lucky, cracked the cooler line to the outside somewhere.

Check with TC diesel, he had a source for something that should work and is a LOT cheaper.

It is leaking transmission fluid, not mixing it. What's weird, non of the lines are leaking. There is not a drop of wetness anywhere near the lines. The leak is coming from behind the cooler. I'll call TC in the morning, thanks for the lead.

I posted a PN for a recall cooler a long time ago. About half price if you can do a search and find it.
