06 wheel +axle ?

I had this nutty idea over the last few days that mabey i should get new truck this fall. Mabey a 06 or 07 ? 3500 4x4 cummins. Had the 96 for near 4 years and kick myself every day for not buying it new. Its a great truck still goes like new but getting old for a buisness vehicle. Will my h2 wheels on my 96 fit a 06?Have they still got a straight axle up front?

Yes, 17" H2 wheels will fit



And yes, they are still using the solid axle up front.



However, it is a AAM 9. 25" axle as opposedd to the 9. 75" Dana 60.
