Archived 06 wont stay running

2006 2500 4X4 auto, 4800mi, Edge juice with attitude. Start the truck put it in gear and within a second or two it stops running like I turned the key off. Did this 4 times, tried forward and reverse and I stopped trying.



Could this have to do with the Turbo safety timer on the juice module. Anyone had this happen. I really don't want to go to the dealer because I am sure they will say it is the Box's fault.

Did you remove the edge was it ok?

I did not, I was afraid to do anything without getting some opinions first. I do think that is a logical start. I did e-mail the edge tech line, waiting to here from them. I still have my old truck so this is not a disaster..... yet. Thanks Scott, heard alot of good things about you guys.

My brother had a wal-mart key made for his 06,thetruck would start then die after a few seconds. The original key has a microchip in it as a theft deterrent. I'm probably way off but hoped i could save you some headace.

Thats was my thoughts too Jeep. If you are not using the dealer issued key, then the microchip is not there and the truck will die 5 or so seconds after you start it.

I wonder if it's possible for the real key to get damaged? If using the Dodge key, try the other one.

Well, the truck started and stayed running. No idea why, very well could be the key itself. If it happens again I will try the spare I have from the dealer and post what happens. I hate it when something goes wrong... . fixes itself without reason. Guess thats what we are up against with these heavilly computerised 06's.

Turned out to be the Edge Box, called edge and they had me send it back. They updated to the latest version. Just payed for shipping, turn around was about a week. also had them do the hot unlock while at it.
