What causes this code? How is the promblem fixed? I have a 2002 ho with a smarty with a constant miss at around 2200 rpm that is driving me nuts. Please help?

It is code p0602 which stands for ecm fueling calibration error and I do not remeber getting before. I have always had 1693. I am trying to fix this constant miss and I thought maybe it is the injectors but no codes  like a miss or something.

Time for a new IP. Sounds like either the electronics are gone bad or the control solenoid is bad.

IRRC the p0602 definition from Dodge is programming error,Might want to Conact Bob Wagner I think I remmeber they have an update to correct this

I triped this code in my truck earlier this year. found out there was an ecm problem & needed to have my ecm refashed at dealer. took it in found out it had already been done on my truck & can only be done once on our 2ndgens bummer!I'd'call some of the bigger diesel shops(i. e. Industrial inject. ,schide, cunningham)tell them what your experencing & find out what they think. i'v found them to be friendly & helpful. i believe a bad altenator regulater took mine out. i'm still looking for an ecm for mine, not so easy to fined one thats afordable. my trucks an 01 w/hotrod pump,150hp injects. ,hybrid hx40/35 turbo, smarty tuner, quadzilla fuel box, mbrp cooldual turbo back exashst, oringed head, autometer gauges&atd autotrans w/tripledisk billit conv. &input shaft. runs pretty good but bogs off the line i think due to the bad ecm. hope all works out with yours.

A new ecm will not fix your bog... .....

And why are you running an hx35 with all your added fuel????

Is the smarty throwing the code? I have had the smarty for years, never remeber this code. I am chasing a constant drain on the batteries. A miss when I drive down the rode at about 1700 RPM. Do not know where to start.

bob4x4,please explain, why wouldn't a new ecm fix my bog issue?as i stated i could do a brake toque in stock form. now with gob's more power i can't roll the tires unless the roads are wet. seems as though ecm is sensing dry road resistance & is then either defueling or not allowing it to fuel up. i'm not running a stock hx 35,i have an hx 40/35 hybrid which is a hx 35 unit with hx40 compessor wheel & ahx35 exhaust side, buitl by the guy how ownes the diesel shop i frequent. he ran this very turbo on his 95 before i bought it. it spools quick like a 35 but gives a little more efficent boost w/ the 40 comp. wheel. i'd like compounds but can't afford now.

The bog comes from too much fuel for the kind of air you have. The cylinders get flooded with fuel and there is not enough air for a proper burn giving you a bog condition until the turbo can start to get spooled. A 35/40 hybrid is a small turbo, suited best for towing and somewhat spirited driving with mild injectors and a mild box. Hot Rod VP44 + Smarty + Quad + 150's = a lot of fuel and demands at least a 62mm turbo IMO.
