i fi get in it at all it will stay in first and rev right out wont up shift till i coast and feather throttle , worse going up hills..... no codes

dodge told me may be dirty battery terminals or a bad batteries, i cleaned term inals with no affect.

they said if it aint the batteries then its either ellectronic or a stuck "pressure valve"..... or some thing like that...



any one encounter this before? i live in te mountains so i pretty much cannot drive it at the moment and its my only vehicle!

Tyler1, couldn't find your symptom in 96 FActory Service Manual (FSM) but sounds like The throttle cable to me (if 48re's still have one).

I had a simaler problem in my 05, it was the governor pressure solenoid, there was a TSB on it.

Thx guys . pretty sure mine is all ellectronic ..... starting to mis my ol 12 valve... ... . lol

this pressure solenoid is < 100. 00 and requires dropping the pan. Adjust the bands while you're there if you have > 29K on it. Not much to it. Use the search feature to find more.

thx man the transmission shop is talking about sending it out!! n i was like NO WAY it aint slipping it just aint shifting up! cant find good help these days... ..... sept for here!
