I was having some problems getting the truck to turn over, it would after 6-7 tries, rough idle as well. I decided to take her to the dealer and motor started knocking as I drove down the freeway and Bam! Knocking and A LOT of smoke... engine dead. I have run a few tanks of ASTM certified B100 but has always run fine and I know a lot of other contractors that use this fuel/station and all is well for them. Any ideas? Injector shot?

No word from the dealer yet. Damn.

Thanks in advance!

i would say more that just an injector, fuel pump and then some, heavy water content in the oil? just because the sticker says, it might not be so. also cummins advised 5% bio for non military engines i believe. head gasket leaking, what color is the smoke heavy white?

Smoke is white at start up, some black smoke at turnover. No leaks. A few other contractors have used this bio station in the last few days and have had no problems with this fuel what so ever. I do run regular dino as well. Truck has run great up to now.

North of San Francisco. I also hope cylinder isnt screwed up... truck was doing some knocking as I came to a halt! The closest dealer to break down was Bay Bridge Dodge in Oakland.

The last time I had a diesel put out white smoke it was from gasoline. It was a 7. 3 for and it knocked and smoked like heck. My coworker recognized the problem immediatly. I was pretty embarrased about it.

Definitely not gas in this one. Dealer has had it a week and cant figure out what is wrong... Thinks its a fouled injector but I cant figure out why it would take so long to figure it out, its obvously a fueling issue. Anyone familiar with Bay Bridge Dodge in Oakland Ca. ? It was the closest tow.

-Thanks
