I have an 07 that JUST started leaking what looks like trans fluid on the right side near the bell housing. I read a thread earlier about a loose hose near the turbo, have not tried tightenging that yet. I had a clutch put in exactly 1 year ago- could this leak have anything to do with that?

I could be completely wrong, but I don't think there are any hoses on the G56 transmission. The first place to start would be checking the fluid level of the transmission to see if it is low. IIRC the G56 takes cherry juice so what ever fluid you see leaking out should be red. Hope this helps, leaks can be a pain to find sometimes.

The loose hose near the turbo should be antifreeze not trans fluid. Try and dry it off real good with a clean paper towel and see what color the fluid is.

Is it on the bell housing or is hanging on the trans behind it? Are there any visible cracks in the housing of the trans near the bolt flanges?

Metroneck-

I have had the same leak two different times both of which were fixed by the dealer. It appears the metal plate holding the inner boot will leak based upon the vibration of the motor. The fix requires a very thin sealant added to the under-side of the mounting plate. After getting the sealant added on the second repair I havent had anymore issues for 45k miles. Note: The inner boot has been a common problem as well however that was not the root cause of both of my leaks. Good luck!

Good point about the shift tower leaking. The shift tower comes off when you pull the trans for a clutch.
