i just got my new truck and i like the exhaust brake. aint gonna be towing for a while but i want to use the brake. can i leave the brake on all the time with out damaging or wearing it out?
I have kept mine on, kind of fun. Perhaps that will wear off. With an empty truck, down hill in "Tow Haul" mode, when you take your foot of the pedal, it just plain shuts down.
And since I'm driving an Auto now, I have nothing else to do but play.
Leave it on, won't hurt a thing, and will save your brakes. Ditto on the slick roads in tow haul mode, especially if towing a trailer without brakes or poor brakes.
