It is much easier to remove baffleing on intake. Removed filter end to tubing and simply pulled the baffle out. The lower elbow next to the turbo has a 3/4" tube connected to it going to china somewhere on the engine. Which means the aftermarket guys will have to include this tube connector to their products. Just drove it and you can now hear the turbo.

I would like to say thanks for sharing the modifications you are making on your truck and posting the pictures as well. Much appreciated



With the silencer removed, how much more noise do you hear? Do you hear the whistle all the time and would you consider it loud? Would it be annoying on a long road trip? It will be interesting to see if it has a positive change to engine performance and mileage.



I'm thinking of installing the S&B filter CAI kit when I get the truck later this month.
