I have 110k miles on my 3500 4x4 6 speed and cel came on and truck started driving bad, slow to accerlate and barely making 2500 rpm, the codes i got were po42e p113c and p0489. What would you do if this was your truck?? I am thinking its time to buy a delete kit with the smarty prograrmer, the complete big exhaust pipe from somewhere i am not sure what you guys are running and remove all of the dpf stuff and run aftermarket from the manifold back to the tailpipe along with the aftermarket air cleaner, i am so sick of the egr stuff and worrying about the truck settting the ranch on fire again i am going to bite the bullet, Annothys Planet Pickup in San Antonio is where I am going to get this done but i have been thinking about doing it myslef to sav money and understand the truck more that just sending it up and letting somebody else do it. One question is I am thinking my dpf is prob full, it plugged up twince when i first bought the truck and was under warranty and got replaced, now its on my dime and i want it off. Can I just buy the complete egr plug off delte kit and exhaust pipe to the tailpipe and install it myslef and get the truck to run again or does all of this need to be installed at the same time, i can live with a cel light if the delete kit, big pipe kit and dpf removed can be done first without the programmer added at the same time??? I am scared of doing all of this at the same time and not getting it running correctly. I dotn want to waste anymore money at the dealer cleaning egr valves and ordering $2400 dpfs and $500 install i was quoted yesterday at Brown dodge in Devine, I am so sick of the 6. 7 1th generation its time to make a move but i need to know what you would buy and install and in what order and how do you like your truck since the dpf delete and egr block off was installed along with exhaust and air cleaner update? Thanks for any tips and recoms on programmers, big exhasut pipe kits, egr blcok off kits, the best aftermarket air cleaner you liked and the etc etc details that always make the switch worth it. I would have to haul the lemon in to a dealership and am tired of this and want to get it updated with the best aftermaket parts. All i do is go back an forth to san antoion 3 times a week and to the ranch 2 times and it can not even run right after about 15 trips to the dealer during waranty and sitting for 2 to 3 weeks at a time. The first gerneation trucks with 6. 7's were and are still lemons, i wonder every time my truck screws up now when the motor will let go next since it limped its way to 100k and started scewing up again just like it did at dpf plugigng between 40l and once at 76k miles.
