07 tow mirrors

The 07 tow mirrors must be different than the earlier years. I need to find out how to remove the mirror glass from its housing. I looked at a damaged tow mirror at my dealership and it was different than mine; my do not have the some wire release ring. Does anybody have a break-down on the 07 mirror showing how to remove the mirror glass. I want to change the right with the left to change the location of the convex mirror. Thanks, Kerry
