07 with 5.9 and Jake from dealer

Just wondering how good this brake is with 6 SPD and stock Exhaust??4x4 Long Bed Quad Cab towing will be around 20K. Thanks Ron

My brother loves his. he has an 07 5. 9 3500 w/ jake brake. tows mini excavator 25k.

Towing 20K or GCVR of 20K?



If you are towing 20K I would think you will still be using your service brakes on grades of any degree (6% or more). If you are using it to slow the vehicle on flat ground it should work good.



If you are at a GCVR of 20K it will hold the vehicle on 6% grades without service brakes.



Mine works great on my 48re at 22K GCVR, I'm sure it will be better with your manual.

Towing 11k I don't need to use my service brakes, even on the passes in CO. When I tow 16k, I need to use the service brakes.
