08 3500 Steering Locking Up

I am having real issues with my steering. When I turn to the left and then back to the right it locks up briefly as if either something is catching or loosing power steering and it does not do it ever time. I have had the knuckle joints checked and they said they were not the problem. I then took it to Dodge for a steering recall and they said that it was OK and I also had them check it out and as usual it would not do it for them. Any help or ideas would be great.

You could be exceeding the capacity of the power steering pump at low idle. Brake boost takes priority over steering assist, you will notice this is you are spinning the wheel with the brakes applied.

It just started this a short time ago and keeps getting worse and it does not do it when I am setting still only when I am going.

Is it 4x4??? Aftermarket front differential cover? Any modifications?

yes 4x4 and all stock.

Do you recall if you are applying the brakes while this is happening - or are you accellerating?

does it lose power assist, or is it physically binding up???
