08 steering upgrade issue?

I just got my 08 upgraded steering installed.



When I watch the steering while someone turns the wheel back and forth I can feel a slight clunk as the steering goes from one direction to the other. I've determined it's the lower end of the draglink (where it goes through the tierod).



Anyone else have this happen? I don't think this should be normal. I tightend the nut w/ the impact and it's a little better, but not perfect. BTW: This joint was pre-assembled when I got the kit.

Try tightening the track bar bolt at the frame on the driver's side. I and many others have had the pop while turning and tightening this bolt has cured it. The late Greg Boardman posted this fix a while back.

No, it's not the trackbar, I've been through that one many times before.

Lay under the truck while someone else turns the wheel back and forth. Or, if you leave it running you can turn the pitman arm back and forth yourself.

I was amazed by all I saw under there!
