9600 miles and no problems. 17-18 MPG mixed hwy/city and 9-10 MPG pulling a 9000 lb boat. I cannot use the Tow/Haul & exbrake together. The hard down shifts cause the trailer's surge brakes (4 wheel disc) to clamp down hard causing a very hard jerk on the truck. I worry that I will destroy the trailer's brake actuator.

The ride is harsher than my previous 04 3500 SRW CTD. I wish Dodge would use bump stops for the overload spring on the 2500 like they do the 3500. The only load on the back of the truck is 480 pounds of dead weight to smooth things or 850 pounds of tongue weight when i pull the boat. I ended up flipping the overload springs over and it helped tremendously.

The truck is silver and the quality of the paint job is poor. looks like a beginner painter sprayed the truck. You can see heavy and light streaks when the paint gun made its passes.

I have the same complaint, mine is mineral gray and the paint job is blotchy. Seems to be thin spots really. Its worse on the bed than the cab but its still there. I saw a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was gray and the paint was just as bad. I just chalk it up to thin paint, trying to save on the amount of paint used.

By the way, 12,400 miles. No issues other than the steering recall and clutch master recall.

My buddies silver '09 is the same way. When I first saw it, the thing was dirty, so I didn't say anything. Following week when I cleaned it up for him, I pointed it out... he never noticed !

18K and no problems. six speed manual. Clutch was a little hoppy when new but seems to have broken in. Only thing I don't like is the polution stuff on it. I would like to get better milage. It is improving some I got 19 empty on the last trip driving 65. Last trip out with 38 ft. enclosed gooseneck car hauler got 11. 2 driving 65.

The steering recall was the one that only effected some trucks, the dealer needs to look at the steering to see if you have the recalled parts. (H46 recall)

The clutch recall was only for trucks with adjustable pedals. It seems the clutch pedal rod "could possibly" come out of the master and cause the clutch to be inoperable. (J08 Recall)

I got a letter for the J08 recall and the dealer ran my vin and gave me a report that showed that I had two open recalls.

if that trailer is an enclosed, your milage will be about the same... . my 28' gooseneck loaded with 10k gets better mileage than my 12 enclosed with 400lbs...

Thanks for the info on the recalls I will get them to run my vin # when I go.

Do some research on the fuel filter and related system. I had real issues, so I will leave you to decide for yourself. I will say I spent $600 for a FASS 95 filter and pump.
