Archived 1/2 throttle only!!!

ok... . so i am severly stricken by the bombing bug. so i in addition to some other things, i ordered a tst spring kit and an adjustable boost elbow. i put them on today at a diesel shop in town and slid my #10 plate forward some. well things went fine for awhile( lots of power and smoke :-laf ) until my brake caliper froze up and my brake hose blew up. luckily I have connections and got NAPA (my former employer) to deliver them to sears, where i work now(good college job). i got those fixed and as i am driving home, i go and try to open up the throttle, pedal to the metal. but after about 1/2 throttle, i have no response, its like there is a brick under the pedal, absolutely no throttle response... everything runs fine. could it be that my fuel plate moved back or something? i have class all day for the next 3 days, but i cant stand not having power. i dont know if i should drive it or not, please help!! thanks in advance
