Competition East & West, the final chapter?

Went to a 1/8 mile track this weekend. My best ET was a 8. 563 with a 1. 822 60ft. Does anyone know about where I would be in the 1/4 mile? How much would it help my times if I put the stock tires and wheels back on?

MPH was 77. 70 on the 8. 56 run. Got 78. 80 on a 8. 768 run. Could have had a better MPH but was having a little trouble with 3rd to 4th shifts.

I doubt you're into 4th by the 1/8 mile. I think I was going into 4th at about 85-90mph if I recall correctly.

What trans do you have and what converter setup?

With 530hp, at 6700#, ours ran 8. 5's at ~80mph, which equated to 13. 67@ 96-98mph. This was with the standard 91% DTT converter.

Doing nothing else than switching to the DTT 93% race converter (goes into lockup in 3rd and 4th), 1/8 mile times stayed about the same (within . 1 and 1-2mph), but 1/4's dropped to 13. 27 @ 103-104.

Thats right, 4:10s. At WOT my truck wants to shift at 70 mph on my speedo, speedo is off because of bigger tires, which I estimate to be about 77. I might not have gained much but it wanted to shift before the finish line

I have the DTT trans with 91% TC and Race VB and everything else except output shaft. I know, I'm getting it.

Wow, didn't know the 93% TC would help that much. I went 91% TC to help streetability.

By the way, only had TST on 5/5. Thats were it did the best.

Not a 3rd gen but...

My runs:

1/8 mile: 8. 80 @ 77mph = 13. 98 @ 96mph 1/4 Mile

1/8 mile: 8. 36 @ 81. 5mph = 13. 20 @ 101. 5mph 1/4 Mile

(The difference between the 13. 20 and 13. 98 runs was a FASS, DDHX40 and Drag Comp vs standard fuel system, HY35, and Standard Comp. )

Should have some new numbers soon when i get my billet output, which means i can use my BD RAD and get rid of my defueling. :)

BCarmicle:

To give you some "comparison" numbers here are some times

I posted with my 96' Dodge CTD:

1/8th mile: 8. 566 @ 80. 19 MPH = 13. 46 @ 98 MPH

FWIW,..... I have 3. 54 gears in that truck.
