I have a bed on my 2000-3500, I want to put a flat bed on. Can any one give me a idea what it is whorth? White in color. bed & tail gate, goose neck flip over ball bolts to frame, reciever hitch. all in VG condition.

Don't expect much for it due to shipping. Places that sell flatbeds will often buy them for around $1000. You might be able to part it out, tailgate and fenders and get more.

You'd be extremely lucky to get $1000 for your bed IMPO. Most places that sell flat's have abundance of beds.

Advertise it in the classifieds and such, you'll probably get more that way. But still check with the local flatbed distributor and see what they will give you for it. I can only speak from personal experience around TN & KY.

The place I am getting by flat bed from do not take trades. Well I may try the whole thing for a while and later I could try to part it out. Since I have no idea: what are fenders & tail gate worth?

Thanks

Put an ad in the paper for it, there is always someone looking for a bed to repair there wrecked one. I have a buddy that just sold his 2500 bed, tailgate and bumper for $750.

I think the dually fenders are around $450 each.

Dealer wants $900 for a complete, unpainted 3500 tailgate:eek:

When mine got bent the guy who delivers fuel to the farm told me he knew of a couple laying around at other customers, I got one for free, it was even the right color.

I can take it to the farm for storeage but in my area the truck would be worth more with a flat bed. I have on person asking about it, if not I will part it out. I sure don't need it.

Hey good idea: Since I do not have a dog, NO I am not getting one either, I am afraid I would be in it most of the time. Wife is still alittle upset with my new bed buy. But I did get a bargin!

I found a bargin bed, it is a old style & it fit my Dodge. It weighs 925LBS. The new model has a different rearend. I give $650 for a new bed, $30 for brackets (well worth it) & $12 for fuel sump.

My 1 ton rides alot better now. I could post a pic if anyone wants.
