1 ton springs n leafs

anyone have any leafs or springs for a 08 dodge 1 ton. ive got a 2500 and want a cheap was to stop the squating... .

I use the "Superspring" works great so when your not loaded it doestn't feel like a 1 ton

Firestone Air helper springs are prob about the least expensive way to go, and you can adjust the ride as you need it.

Just a FYI go with air bags as the 2500 does NOT have the perches on the frame for the overload springs.

They are not avaiable seperately because they are welded to the frame.

If you go with 1 ton springs a perch wil have to be fabbed.

I used a add a leaf from General Spring KC (link below). The first photo is before placing the add a leaf. The second is after the add a leaf. Drove a thousand miles with it unknowing if the add a leaf was going to work. My camper was in North Ga and my truck in South Fl. The truck squated 2" with the camper loaded. I was very happy and the truck drives great. Got 15 mpg hand calculated on the way home with it.



I had a bad previous experience with air bags that's why I chose a heavy duty add a leaf. The only other thing I would do to my truck is add a sway bar to the rear axle.

Somewhere I read the short box trucks were not suited for campers, I only see the long beds with the rare exception like yours.

Do you have a lift kit on the front or does the slide in take load off the front end?
