So here I am with my cherry 93 with only 29,000 miles on the clock and not a scratch on the body, at a stop light minding my own business, then WHAMMMMMM. I get hit from behind from a gal in an isuzu trooper, really hard. I got out and the whole front end of her trooper was folded in 6 to 8 inches from flush and radiator fluid all over and her front bumber had folded under her body and pinned against the left front tire. She could not move at all due to the damage. Ill bet you guys know how much damage my truck sustained..... One broken license plate light and not a single scratch, ok my bumber was buckled about 2 millimeters. Still looks like the day out of the dealer. . I love my dodge

Hate it when that happens! Last summer when I was living in Long Beach, CA, I had a Thundebird go under my rear bumper on my '91 W-250 which had a 6" lift. My truck had no reciever hitch, just a step bumper with a 2" ball and a lot of extra threads past the nut. The threaded shank on the ball hitch tore the center of that T-bird hood open like a beer can. I suspected the guy didn't have insurance when he immediately slammed his car in reverse in a fruitless attempt to get away. The two vehicles were stuck together like two dogs in heat. When I tried to pull away, my rear tires would break traction and spin. Finally, I got out, locked the front hubs, put it in 4 hi, and dumped the clutch when the light turned green. I dragged that T-bird through the intersection with all four of his wheels locked up. When he let off the brake and hit it again, we finally tore loose. I pulled to the side of the road, he pulled in behind me looking at his mangled hood and crying about how I stopped too quick in front of him. I looked at my truck, and the only thing I saw damaged was the threaded rod to the spare tire carrier was bent, and there was some green paint on the threads to the ball hitch. The motto of the story is: You will always lose when you slam a Ram.
