I took my one way check valve out of the transmission system this afternoon. On my 2002 the check valve is in the hot line (rear port) of the water heat exchanger.
I first looked for it in the front port (closest to the engine fan) but nope. Looked for it in the rear port(toward the transmission) yep, that it twas.
Might save someone a little time and making the same mistake.
