Thanks for the tip! I've been kinda worried about that because the wheels alone probably weigh close to 80 pounds.

What gear ratio do you have in your truck? if you have any thing more then 4.10 its going to put a lot of strain on your drive train.

Weight? Yep, you're in line to learn something about what unsprung weight does. Basically, this is a BAD idea.

Truck has 4.10s

I believe what your referring to would be the rotating mass of the wheels? But since you didn't say that I'm not sure. I realize That it would be much more "unsprung weight" than the stock wheels. What I don't know is the load capacity of the drive train.

If you want a stronger tire I'd look into 19.5 there a liuttel bigger and not much heavier

I've been looking for a decent price on a set of 19.5s I'm pretty sure that they make them in 8lug also but haven't had any luck.

They do ,you just need to contact a tire shop that deals with commercial trucks and RVs
