Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 10% Power :((( Any help or suggestions?

Hi

I'm having trouble with my 2000 dodge 6 speed with 90,000 miles. Over the last 5 to 10 thousand miles, the pickup has shut off the fuel “about “six to ten times” while under light load and only will idle until I release the throttle; then it runs as normal, but check engine light came on; this has been on road trips. While driving around town this morning, the pickup displayed another problem; it will only give about 10% power. I have a Blue chip performance box. I checked the codes; it only has two for the fuel level sensor “P0460 & P1693, which I’m not surprised at “I have an auxiliary fuel tank in the bed”. Any help would be great, Thanks, Paul

Sounds like the Accellerator Pedal Position Sensor - APPS...

The lack of power that I think that you are experiencing is the APPS isn't keeping the reset. Last month is the first time that mine has been (set) I had to keep resetting it for (????? 6 or 10 times). What I found,the tech at cummins had told me was to turn key on and slowly cycle pedel turn key off three times and leave the off for about a minute (45 + seconds). Mine would rev but had no power the cryslurr diesel tech ha,ha,ha,ha wrote on the work order that it wasn't necessary to do unless the apps was replaced. no wonder that the junk has had no power but still doesn't idle worth a darn.

Thanks guys for the input! It turned out to be my fueling box... So I've ordered a new one... .
