11.5" Rear Axle Fluid Level

What is the correct fluid level for the 11. 5" My owner's manual states 1/4" below the fill hole on the 11. 5" and 3/4" on the 10. 5" rear. However, the rear axle cover has a fluid level mark engraved in the cover that is approximately 3/4" below the fill hole. Could I have the wrong axle assembly? The window sticker and the option decal in the glove box both list a 11. 5" axle. This is a '04 HO with a 10/03 manufacture date. Does the 10. 5" and 11. 5" use the same cover?

The mark on the cover is the correct fill level. They added the mark because of all the confusion on fill levels for 03.

Does this mean I actually have the 10. 5" or is the owner's manual incorrect?

I assume but

I assume he is saying they put the mark on all covers. I have a 04 now and I have never looked to see if it has a mark on the cover. I did have the dealer check the level and it was correct.
