1191 labors union, what a joke!!

i was just wondering if ther are any labor union members on here. my local 1191 is cutting us so bad that i am considering quiting. they have screwed every seasonal worker on insurance, your supposed to have 1200 hrs a year for a full years benifits but... ... ... ... that has to come every quarter now, so in the winter when i dont work i dont have benifits in the spring for 3-4 mths, and now they just changed it so if i am hurt at all in any way involving a vehicle, i get nothing, they said tell your insurance agent cause your pretty much sol. and when they sent us the letter saying if we want insurance that we would have to pay $355/ month, it had been canceled for 2 days!!! this is hard when you have kids, whats the deal with those crooks. very much considering the operators 324 now. how they sleep at night is beyond me.

My dad works out of a LIUNA local 121 and is going through the same thing. Luckily he's in decent health except for a recent heart problem. Thankfully he qualified for VA benifits I dont think he's had health insurance for the last 15 years. Copay is $400 a month. Sure is glad he'll have his 80 and be out this november.
