Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 12 or 24v cam

on a p pump conver what cam would be better

to use i know the 12 has lift pump lobe but what

about lift and duration are both the same it seems

the 12 would have more lift due to 2 valves and

the 24 has 4 valves that has more area and should

not have to lift as high as 12v just a thought

feed back would be appreacated

ps im not much on a 1200$billet cam

if its not going to make hp on the dyno

you need to stay with a 24 valve cam because of head airflow characteristics and max lift before valve retainers hit the guides.
