I am trying to get some help preferably from some individuals who've went down this road and have expierence with different products, just looking to get some opinions and expierences from those folks.

What I've got is a stock '12 Ram 3500. My end goal is a full delete of the throttle valve, EGR, DPF, the whole nine yards to make the diesel engine sound and simply work like it should and is designed to. My thought pattern is a EGR Delete kit, throttle valve delete kit (pick your flavor), I'm fairly certain I'll go with a straight 5" turbo back exhaust with muffler. The real dilemma and where I need the most help is with the tuner. This isn't meant to be a brand war but I'm looking most heavily toward the RaceME tuner solely because of expense, support, and ability to delete all those element to run code free. Anyone have any relative expierence with this product? What I am looking for is solely an improvement on fuel economy and OCCASIONAL boost in power while towing. Also, my truck is equipped with the infamous 68RFE, knowing that how hot of a tune could LEGITIMATELY be run on the truck before worrying about transmission damage OR stretched head bolts etc?

I have a good mechanical ability but my name is by no means Mr Goodwrench. I am more than confident in my ability to tackle this.

Thanks in advance.

If you are going to modify that engine then pull with it, start with the trans. It is cheper to beef up the trans then it is to repair one.

Snoking--

Financially if that was an option I would entertain it....have some other significant life events right now that would directly be affected by that transaction...

But then again owning one isn't cheap either ;)

From what I've read, RaceMe or EFI Live are the way to go. My buddy up here just deleted his 2014 and it's running well. Kinda cool hearing his truck sound like a non-emission diesel.

Go over to the Cummins forum, it is a younger crowd who are really into this. Tons of info and opinions there.

"non-emission diesel and non-warranty diesel" You must have wealthy buddies. SNOKING

I would recommend ELLive. This is the premier tuner on the market and will support everything you want to do with the engine. I would also check out Glacier diesel for the components you are looking for.

I am using a Smarty and now that ELLIVE is available this is what I would use now.

Just my $0.02.
