Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 12 tappet cover on a 24v

Hi all,
anyone know if a 12v tappet cover will work on a 24v motor? will all the holes line up and will i be able to mount the ECM? I want the 12v for the extra vent. I recently had my blowby tested by a shop that uses a gauge to do this. They take the truck to max boost and then read the gauge. Anyway max boost for me is over 35 psi because my waste gate is either plugged or seized shut. The tappet cover gasket blew out during the test so when changing it id like to add a vent to prevent this in the future. I know they make a kit to relocate the breather but dodge wants $700 and i don't know where else to get it. So, Im wondering if i can just use a 12v tappet cover and have 2 vents? If so anyone have the part number for a 12v tappet or a 12v ESN so i can look it up?

When I replaced the gasket on my '98 24V tappet cover I thought about switching to the 12V one I had laying around but it seems there was a stud on it toward the front that was in the way of the injection pump...but I'm going off a pretty vague memory. If you look around you can find a 24-valve tappet cover with the blowby hose, my truck came that way but they'll be hard to find since it was only '98.5 and a few '99s that came that way.

I took my stock tappet cover and modified it to a larger elbow and put a larger hose on it, used a section of heater hose and so far it's holding up good.

Ok thanks for the great info! My other question is if I really need the extra vent of if this was a fluke caused by the blow by test...I've never had an issue before...
