i checked my pump timing on my 1995 12 valve,it checks at 7. 3mm,does anybody know what that equates to? i know its advanced,i was checking it to see if i could advance it for better performance and to my surprise this is what i found. also was checking for dowel pin movement, guess what? my truck has no dowel pin,it has a different color front cover, and i can see one bolt hole is partially gone in the aluminum plate,i guess somebody blew the dowel out the steel cover,it did chip a tooth on the cam gear. i checked with the guy i got the truck from and he never knew anything about this, the original owner must have had the failure, cummins should have stood behind this problem with a recall. i was at cummins recently and saw about a half of a 55 gallon oil drum with broken covers in it,thats not a small percentage in my book. tim

nice chart ,i have one

my cpl is 1550,if you look at my post i stated my timing is 7. 3mm at tdc, thats off the chart!i was looking for somebody that could tell me how many degrees bftdc that comes out to. thanks, tim

Chart

If you check out the chart, you will see that for every 0. 1mm it equals 0. 5*. (cpl=1550) Therefore your timing should be 20. 5*. That is if your measurments are correct and I read the chart correctly!!;) :D :)
