chevy frame strength?

I have a NV4500HD Dodge transmission that I will be installing with the engine. I understand the NP205 transfer case from a Dodge 3/4 or 1 ton with the Getrag 5 speed will bolt up. Is that the best option? Is the Dodge NV4500HD 29 spline shaft that much stronger than the GM 32 spline version? My M1008 has a NP208 now.

Thanks.

5. 9, nv-4500, and 205 from the older dodges is your best bet for old style GM conversions, they take lots of torque and abuse.

Unless you have the means and length to run a divorced transfer case, this is the only setup I would run. It is proven time in and time out, I have used them numerous times on conversions I have done in the past. The Dodge shaft is all I will use, the only thing driveline wise I will retain from GM is the 14 bolt axles and dana 60's, otherwise it gets dropped and traded/sold to GM users. The Gm shafts will not hold up to the torque of even an innercooled stock setting 5. 9, don't try to turn it up at all with this setup.
