2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 12 valve starter problems

Here is the deal.

I have a '98 3500, 4x4, 5-speed, 12 valve, 79,000 miles.

twice now when I turn off the truck, the starter starts running.

Yes, I have turned the key the correct direction = Off.



I have fresh batteries, cables are not degraded.

I am thinking, starter or the ignition switch... .

Sounds like bad starter contacts. The starter is probably staying engaged the whole time but you can't hear it. Look here for the parts to fix and more info.
