6.7 Cummins into 68 Dodge?

New here, so ive had horrible luck with my 1998.5 ram 2500 24v engine, i have a 1997 engine ready to be dropped in, the 97 engine is pipe thread to i have the adapters to go from pipe thread to standard. I will be using the 24 valve harness as a 98 12 valve harness is almost impossible to find. My truck has a NV4500.

i am curious to what others have done in this case for tach reading. ive done digging on this site and have came up with different anwsers. what can be done to make the crank sensor read so my truck will charge at correct voltage and have a working tach. Thanks
