12cm Turbo Housing

Has any body changed it over to a 12cm, are any pipe mods involved? How does it run now?

I believe that Keeno has done this swap. He is fortunate to have 2 1st Gens so he can compare different setups easily.

True story! myself & 'Thunderrolls' & Jsimpson have either installed or working on a 12cm2 installation.

Deezul! Do a search for "Knock Down Drag Out 5th Gear Roll ons" for a comparison of 12cm vs 16cm. There was also a posting about 12cm installs a few months back in the First Gen forum by HVAC & Jsimpson if memory serves me correctly.

You do have to remove 1 1/2" near the mounting flange of the Downpipe to allow room for the wastegated 12 cm or purchase a pre-bent one from Banks or other supplier. Go 3/4" behind the flange & cut, remove an additional 1 1/2" from the downpipe and reweld the flange back to the downpipe that is now an 1 1/2 shorter. Job Done!
