12v air compressor

which one is the best?? I'd like to get something that would inflate the tires on my truck and trailer. Thanks in advance for helping.

the thomas 12v compressor is a good quality one, try rickson truck accesories.

A much more heavy duty and EXPENSIVE one is standard equipment on the humvees and is sold through Currie Enterprises of Orange County, Calif.

I have both, it depends on the intended service duty.

I was just about ready to post the same question. I want to mount an electric compressor inside the frame rail to fill a small tank(also inside the frame rail) to run my horns, fill tires and maybe a couple small air tools.

Check out www.extremeoutback.com . You can mount it or get their portable kit. Their extremeaire unit is nice. They have a couple others as well but not as nice as that one. You could also check out blowjax at www.blowjax.com . And there is a thread going or was within the last week or so about onboard air with a unit from kilby enterprises (I think) that uses a york compressor and is belt driven and mounts above your alternator.

To keep up with small air tools this does the job. It is a York A/C compressor driven by a winch motor.
