Can anyone tell me the differences between the 12v DD2's & 3's vs. the 215 and 370 Bosch injectors. Approximate hp differences & smoke differences etc. I realize that hp and smoke will vary somewhat depending on timing and the cam plate positioning, but a general guide would be nice.

I did a search, but didn't really find anything on this subject...

IMO DD II's are very good, DD III's smoke way to much 215's are a wast of time and finally 370's work very well for the money but smell a bit at idle. 370's make the most power out of all the above injectors and the DD II's are the best for towing.

the 370's deffintley worked for me. there worth the money. you get tons of white smoke on cold startups, but that clears up once the engine is warm. i do have to agree, if ya get a whiff of those 370's on idle it will make your eyes water :D

So do the DD II's put down more power than the 215's??? I am thinking of switching to the DD II's from 215's if there is enough of a difference. I am afraid that the 370's will be too hot for my Dodgezilla... .

Decisions, decisions. :{

go for the 370's

get the 370's you'll love them. i like the smell of the 370's. kinda of a sweet smell. but thats just me :D

I like my 370s and their pretty good bang for the buck. And like WDimig mine don't smell bad at idle.

I did have the 215s before the 370s. The 215s were ok I guess, smoke was only really there if I stood on it from a dead stop. Now anytime I stand on it I get smoke (not alot if I have some boost built up). I can fog out an intersection or another lane pretty easily. My EGTs are pretty managable empty, only really gets hot in OD w/ the TC locked up. Towing I have to watch it fairly closely pulling a good hill but if I downshift outta OD and run in 3rd their alot lower.

I have DD2's in my 97 and they don't smoke a whole lot, which I don't like. I'm happy with them for now, good acceleration, and good for towing. My setup made 308/707 not bad for an auto with a mild plate.

I wouldn't be afraid to run the 370's with the Dodgezilla. You can see what I have and that is stock air. No 16cm2 housing or anything. It will definitely run hot if you push it, but I tow a couple of times a week and keep it controlled by the right foot. I am upgrading the turbo in the near future as soon as I decide which one to get. Been thinking about it for 6 months!!
