Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 12v Help

[Twisted Shifter]

I have a 94 12 V that has been built for Big HP

Stage 2 Head and Cam

370 Injectors

PDR Twins

ARP Studs

ETC

etc



Saturday I was driving along and decided to get on it HARD! I am not sure if it was as I got out of it or if the "pop" was why I got out of it ... "happened that quick" but I had a loud POP..... the wife was looking out the back window when it happened and said that I didnt have a big white cloud or anything... ...





When I drive it now it smokes more than it did before ... ... Like I am putting the fire out ... . I dont seem to be making the boost I was ... . I have not had time to check it yet ... . I do think I have slipped the timing a bit, but its not running rough, just not right.



I have checked the oil and I dont think I pushed a head gasket ...



The boots seem ok?





Any thoughts on what to check?

Do you have a boost gauge? Sounds like a intercooler boot let lose.

Thank you for the quick response... ... I went out and looked at the boots again ... I looked yesterday and all looked good... . but I found it ... the boot on the injection side at the intercooler.



I wouldnt have looked a second time had you not mentioned it
