Fellow TDR member, EZ94 has made available for our use, a simple slide hammer type injector removal tool for use on 94 thru early 98 12V trucks. I used it this past weekend installing 215HP injectors on the old 95 and it worked great. Duffy also included a few tips from his experience, I'll add to that list of hands-on tips and mail the tool to anyone in need. When finished, just pass it along to the next customer.

As a PS, the wife and I are hooking up the horse trailer and will be in the Ozarks for a few days starting Wednesday at the Chuckwagon races in Clinton Ar, so for a few days, I won't be checking e-mail.

Thanks EZ94, Ronnie.

moparguy,

I have been thinking of doing the exact same thing to my 94'. I would like to hear what you think about upgrading to the 215HP injectors. I also have the TST #8 plate.

Because of my ability to compare to my wife's 96' truck on a daily basis, I feel that her truck definitely has more "go" when small amounts of fuel are injected. Of course, when I put my foot into it, my TST upgraded truck will leave her stock 215 truck.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Later,
Tim

FourBarR, the 215's are a nice little upgrade. Eventhough I know I should, I don't have a baseline allowing a good comparison of the 215 injectors to stock, just seat of the pants. However, the truck does pull noticeably harder. I had the AFC spring set fairly tight to ensure no smoke with the #8 plate. On the first test drive after adding the 215's I liked the additional power, but it was still in a narrow band of about 2200 to 2600RPM (as it had been with the #8 fuel plate), so I backed the star wheel off about 20 clicks, still no smoke (well it's very, very slight), and now the fuel comes on quicker, effectively widing the powerband. Running empty, EGT's are about 100deg. higher @ WOT.

In summary, the truck still won't light em up even with full throttle powershifts to 2nd or 3rd (yes, I'm wanting bigger injectors now). But it is noticably stonger with the 215's. I've got a great work truck now, enough power for everyday use but not too much for the stock clutch. Only problem is I'm kinda wanting to be able to go slideways in 3rd. Guess I need to grow up, or go crank up the 340 Duster.

Thanks Tom and Duffy.
