i want to build a pulling truck but cant decide what to go with a 12v or a p pumped 24v. im going to go all out n make it just a pull truck/ play toy so driveability on the street are at the bottom of the priority list but big power n ease of getting it there are at the top. im looking for some thoughts and pros and cons on both.

a 13mm Ppump is the best way to go if you not gonna drive it on the street. you can get a huge amount of fuel with them and make big power with the right combinatin of parts,i. e. cam, head work, injectors, turbo ect.

the funky combination that i have heard works the best is a 12v block and internals with a 24v head and a p-pump. apparantly the 12v block and guts are a bit more sturdy than the later ones, and the 24 valve head flows more air. it all depends on what you want to spend. there is a special all aluminum 12v head that flows 300 cfm, but it comes at a price of 8000 bucks, and you could order a custom all steel block too. whatever block you go with definately stick with the p-p-pump the vp-44 has trouble keeping up with the high rpms in pull trucks. ofcourse a heavy shot of nitrous would make up for the flow discrepencies with the 12v head. its mre about makig whatever block you get bullet proof with main studs head studs filling ect.

what i your aproxiamte hp goal.
