Re-read what I posted above. It is not going to take power from something else. It is setup to function like a single pole double through switch.Lets hope that moving the fuse doesn't take power from something else?????

If in you case you moved the fuse forward to create two switched outlets on your dash, that is easy to test.
SNOKING
Did you try it yet??? Obviously one can't damage anything by altering the fuse position...thoroughly confused, how can moving a fuse help. the fuse feeds a wire that leads to the outlet. Wouldn't you have to feed the non power side of the fuse hole with constant power?
My Bighorn has 2 switched outlets, the outlet shown in the manual in the upper console section as a 12 v one has a USB connection for charging.
Time to do mere research.
As stated I tried it on my Laramie with buckets and full front console, and it switch the rear seat to being non switched. Newsa tried it on his non full console truck and it changed second outlet to non switched. SNOKING
According to my owner's manual, this only works on the trucks with the full center console (the one without a folding center seat, whatever they call it) and it is to make the rear outlet constant 12V.
I think Newsa has found out otherwise......I guess we all have learned something from this, regardless of trim level or seating configuration it appears.I misread the picture. Now I see what you are talking about. I made the fuse switch and instead of 1 of my three 12V outlets being hot all the time.....
Now 2 of my 3 outlets are hot all the time.
I will have to try this. Many times I have to plug in my cell phone or iPad to charge. Right now I'm using the 12v console plug and it won't charge when truck is off. This will enable me to use the plug and USB.
Perfect!
