2015 Bighorn. Both 12 v outlets are switched . No power unless the key is on. Does. Anyone know of a way to make them hot all the time? At least one of the two.

I *think* fuse F90 or F91 can be moved where it's hot all the time.

Weird. I've got one that's switched and one that's hot all the time. The switched one has a icon of a key on it. The 24/7 hot one has an icon of a battery on the cover.

According to my owner's manual, this only works on the trucks with the full center console (the one without a folding center seat, whatever they call it) and it is to make the rear outlet constant 12V.

I just confirmed this on my 2015 Bucket center console Laramie. Wish it change to outlet in the console. I guess they did it encase one had a small 12V cooler/freezer in the back seat!!!!! SNOKING

thoroughly confused, how can moving a fuse help. the fuse feeds a wire that leads to the outlet. Wouldn't you have to feed the non power side of the fuse hole with constant power?
My Bighorn has 2 switched outlets, the outlet shown in the manual in the upper console section as a 12 v one has a USB connection for charging.
Time to do mere research.

That fuse location has three terminals. Center one is the feed to the 12v outlet in the back seat. The front terminal is switched. The rear terminal is hot(not switched).

So moving the fuse to the back changes the power source.

Snoking

With no fuse in either fuse location, you have two open circuits feeding the outlet. Some trims have a switched power source there. Other trims have a continuously hot power source there. By moving the fuse, you pick a different route through the fusebox/wirimg harness. My Tradesman/ST has a hot fuse on the passenger side up front. And i have the folding front middle seat. I don't have back seat outlets. Just 2 in the front seat and one in the folding seat/center console. Lets hope that moving the fuse doesn't take power from something else?????

Re-read what I posted above. It is not going to take power from something else. It is setup to function like a single pole double through switch.

If in you case you moved the fuse forward to create two switched outlets on your dash, that is easy to test.

I misread the picture. Now I see what you are talking about. I made the fuse switch and instead of 1 of my three 12V outlets being hot all the time.....

Now 2 of my 3 outlets are hot all the time.

Did you try it yet??? Obviously one can't damage anything by altering the fuse position...

As stated I tried it on my Laramie with buckets and full front console, and it switch the rear seat to being non switched. Newsa tried it on his non full console truck and it changed second outlet to non switched. SNOKING

Yes, that is correct. For clarification...... for those with the folding front seat, it changed the one in the folding front seat

I think Newsa has found out otherwise......I guess we all have learned something from this, regardless of trim level or seating configuration it appears.

I am also confused. I finally looked at my fuse box. Still confused. Tried moving several fuses but no luck. Hope one of you smart guys are at MayMadness so I can confer with you.

I will have to try this. Many times I have to plug in my cell phone or iPad to charge. Right now I'm using the 12v console plug and it won't charge when truck is off. This will enable me to use the plug and USB.

Perfect!

I found out by accident that the usb charge port is hot all the time too and I don' think that is mentioned anywhere in the owners manual.
