12V source for gauge lights

I had a dealer install my Rancho shocks with the in cab gauges. The installer connected the 12V for the gauge lights to the "radio" power line. The lights only work when the radio is on. Didn't notice it until I turned off the radio. Needless to say, I am not going back to the dealer to have it corrected.

Can someone tell me which wire I can splice into to get the gauge lights to come on with the dash lights?

Red 1Ton, look in the fusebox. On the top row of small fuses about the third or fourth over from front, there is a 5 amp fuse that is the instrument lights fuse. I tapped into the upper leg of that plugin, allowing the guage light to dim or brighten with the instrument panel lights. On the fuse box cover, it lists which fuse is which. Good luck. Randy E

One of the best ways to get a 12V dimming supply for the gauges, is to tap into the tan wire coming out of the headlight switch. Just center splice into it, and you'll be set. No fuse taps needed! #ad
